Eavesdrop was the first exhibition in Scandinavia by the Amsterdam-based artists Nicola Arthen and Rodrigo Red Sandoval. Smart homes and AI are usually shown as weightless and cloud-like. Here the internet appeared as something heavy and worn, with cables, surveillance cameras and printed textiles hung through the room.

The show was about the shifts between private and public, the home and the network. Visitors moved through the space standing, crouching or lying down, so the body set the scale.

Arthen’s textiles were made during a production period at TextielLab in Tilburg. C-print listed Eavesdrop among the ten best exhibitions in Sweden in 2025.
