Intervals #2: The Rhyme of Memory and Time

Exhibition, curated, 2025

Curated and produced by Lou Mouw Funding: Stockholms stad, Kulturrådet Production of the work: UKS, Arts Council Norway, Danish Arts Foundation Photos: Lou Mouw

A 45-minute sound and video installation on an ultra-wide screen with six-channel sound. In a garlic factory in a speculative future, workers tell stories about their mothers, and the stories merge with the Korean creation myth of Grandmother Mago.

The work was co-commissioned by UKS in Oslo and Nikolaj Kunsthal in Copenhagen. At Platform the task was to bring a finished work into a new room for a new audience. With Yujin Jung I worked out the screen, the sound and the light, and how visitors meet the layered voices.
