For decades the Nordic welfare model treated housing as a right. In Sweden that has changed: housing is now traded as a financial product, and the city is rebuilt to suit.

The project reads Malmö as an archive of what is left over. Memories of the welfare years stand next to the new buildings of the property market, and both are shown in the same frame.

It began during a residency at Inter Arts Center in Malmö in 2019–20 as three scripts for three performers, read in an interwoven order. The scripts follow the narrative structure of Chris Marker’s La Jetée. A Latvian version was performed at the Survival Kit festival in Riga in 2024. The film version, which mixes CGI scans of Malmö’s former shipyard with analogue footage, premiered at CPH:DOX in 2025.
